Do you want to see 5 easy, inexpensive spring decorating ideas, and tips to transition your home from winter and spring into spring decor!
Hi everyone, it’s officially spring and It’s time to spring into spring decor! The temperature here in New York has been like a roller coaster, wintery one day, spring-like another day. I can’t wait for it to be consistently warm.
However, the sign of spring is here, the tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths are flourishing and showing off their beauty. Watching nature renew itself refreshes the soul, it is a beautiful thing to watch the leaves sprout on the trees, flowers bloom, and birds come out to sing their tunes.
This means spring cleaning, freshening up my decor, lightening up the house.
Looking for a spring refresh? Let’s look at a few simple ways to spring into spring decor.
Spring decor doesn’t have to be fussy or complicated. Here are a few changes I made to bring the season into our home.
#1- Let’s start with the front door decor
Adding a spring wreath to your front door is a great place to start showing off your seasonal decor.
Here’s a simple wood bead wreath I made for my front door a few weeks ago. This project was so easy and fun to do, it took less than half an hour to create this beautiful wreath.

If making a wreath is not your thing, no worries, I have gathered a few you can purchase below. You can click on the links to view the beautiful wreaths.

#2 – Add flowers
Nothing says spring like flowers. Although there are flowers in my home throughout the year, I add spring flowers like tulips, and forsythia to our home during this season.
The gentle scent of fresh flowers emitting through the home shouts spring.
A wonderful way to accentuate a pretty vignette is by creating a display with flowers, beads, and candles. Corraling individual elements creates a bold statement.
If you are unable to decorate with fresh flowers, faux flowers are always a great alternative. There are so many faux flower options you can see here and here.
# 3 – Spring into spring decor with your outdoor space
Say goodbye to winter and bring elements of spring to your porch with pillows and container flowers. Set up the outdoor space for the coming season.
This is our porch from last year, soon I’ll be uncovering the patio furniture and setting the porch. I just love to sit out and have my morning cup of coffee on the porch.
Although the weather is still too cold here in New York for that, I sure am looking forward to it.
#4- lighten things up
Change the heavier and darker throw blankets used for winter and replace them with lighter brighter throws. Bring out the light color pillows, and add a few floral pillows onto your couch, chairs, and your bed.
#5 – Add scented candles
Put away the pine-scented candles of winter and replace them with beautiful floral scents. My favorite candles are Nest candles. Their fragrances burn all the way through to the end where many others will only have the scent on top. My go-to fragrances from Nest are Orange Blossom, Bamboo, and Grapefruit, they have the most intoxicating scent.
Happy Spring decorating!
