Holiday home tour 2021

Hello friends, It’s Christmas and I hope you are finding yourself slowing down and enjoying this wonderful time of the year. Getting ready for the holidays can be exhausting and joyful at the same time. I have always loved creating a festive look for a home during the holiday season. Especially this year we have a little more skip to our step as we prepare and decorate for Christmas. I am finally getting around to showing you my holiday home tour 2021, better late than ever…

Let’s start in the entryway

As you enter our home, the first thing you see is the staircase. I dressed up the staircase by hanging garland on the banister. I carried the similar look of the mantle garland to the staircase. But I left out the dried hydrangea because they would’ve made a mess every time someone passed it.

I added eucalyptus branches, pine branches, a few silver baubles, pinecones and topped it off with satin ribbon and gold bells. They all work so well together, I love the way it looks. Next to the entrance, we set our beautiful nativity I purchased from here. I weaved a few pine branches cuttings from a real Christmas tree to soften the surface.

I skipped right over our kitchen, there’s an explosion of Christmas baking and preparing happening in there.

My holiday home tour dining room

A little Christmas village is placed on top of our buffet in the dining room. Our family and guests get lost in the Christmas sounds of this village. The children skating with the sounds of laughter and the train tooting the horn while going through the tunnel create a nostalgic and enchanting feeling of magic.

Last year I bought a faux Christmas tree to put in our dining room. It really elevated the holiday Decor in the dining room. This year I decorated mostly with subtle colors of silver, champagne, white, gold, and dark blue feather-covered ornaments for a contrast.

The silver and the champagne-colored ornaments were a great budget-friendly find. I loaded the tree with these ornaments seem as if it was covered with ornaments. The shine and the glisten of these ornaments created a beautifully elegant look.
