Happy New Year 2021!

Happy New Year 2021 friends! Although, I am a bit late in wishing all had a good holiday, better late than never. I am so happy to be leaving behind 2020 as I am sure as many of you are. Looking forward to awakening fresh possibilities in 2021.  Reflecting on these unprecedented times makes me uneasy, yet hopeful at the same time for the upcoming year.  Even though, it is difficult to find the silver lining in the cloud that hovered over 2020, we did manage to make the best of it and were able to accomplish few projects.

This past year was very eventful for me because of the extra time we had due to the shutdown.  We were able to get a lot done in the house and the backyard, which was a blessing especially while we were all sheltering in place.

Happy New year!

After absorbing the idea of being in lock down and coming to the realization it was going to take some time before life was going back to normal (not that mine is ever normal)! I had the time to reflect and contemplate on things that I love to do and that was missing in my life.  Which was to have a creative outlet and the motivation to continue to be creative.

My Silver lining…

Hence, this little blog was born to document my creative journey. My passion is to design and create pretty spaces and objects for the home. I needed to create a place where I can be inspired to create and to maybe inspire others along the way.  If it were not for the time I was afforded, I would not have tackled this blog, so for that I am grateful.

My husband also took advantage of the time to complete projects that he had wanted to tackle but could never find the time.  He was able to complete our front porch, build a pergola for the backyard and few DIY projects. Creating a little haven in our backyard was the most important feature for us, especially this summer.

Although we did tackle a lot of projects last year, we have an endless list of projects to accomplish in 2021.

Backyard projects recap in 2020…

Building Pergola

DIY Cement planters

And a few other projects I did not get to show you.  I will be posting on them very shortly.

New year, new beginning

Hoping to tackle redo of my master bedroom. At the moment it’s a bit boring and not the most tranquil place to rest at the end of the day.

The vision for the master bedroom is to create a dark and moody room but let’s see if I have the courage to follow through with it.

My son’s bedroom also needs an update… He likes a modern flare and I have a few fun diy projects to do in this room.

Few more projects left to do in our backyard patio. The plan is to put in an outdoor kitchen, dining table and fire pit. Here are some inspirations I collected from pinterest.

Love this outdoor trestle dining table made by The Navage Patch. They share a great step by step plan on how to do it yourself.

We are going to try our hand at building a Firepit to create a gathering spot for roasting marshmallows, s’mores or simply to cuddle up and watch glow of the flames.

And the list goes on…

With that said… Wishing all a bright New Year with happiness, peace and a incredible opportunities in 2021!

Thank you for stopping by!
